A couple with three young children.
To design a classic Australian farmhouse, one that sat comfortably in the surroundings of beautiful Macedon. They clients desired a home that would suit their young family and new rural lifestyle, whilst growing with them over time. They also wanted it to be fresh, joyful and not too serious.
“I took inspiration from the magnificent landscape, pulling in colours, textures and materials that ground a house to its environment” says Amy Spargo, Design Director.
“The clients fell in love with a large-scale botanical fabric I have in my design studio, which became the hero for the main living spaces and was the foundation for the colour palette of china blue, leaf green and buttery yellow used throughout the house."
“The home is also completely off-grid, which informed many design decisions and appliance choices".
A NOTE FROM THE CLIENT
"We were fortunate enough to work with Amy on our architectural concept, space planning and the interior design of our home. From initial discussions through to the final install, Amy executed every detail to the highest of integrity.
Amy’s creative contribution to each and every feature of the design and construction process was invaluable and her final product was beyond any expectation we ever had.
We are very proud of our home and the joy it brings to anyone that visits, we couldn’t have done it without Amy." Clare
